Nice label, and yes some people put them on and quilt through them so they are very permanent.Exuberantcolor/Wanda S Hansonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00064308660138307797noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6518717340795257741.post-83005232236189217262008-03-19T15:59:00.000-07:002008-03-19T15:59:00.000-07:00mags - you need to post a picture of the pattern.....mags - you need to post a picture of the pattern... I love hawaiian quilts, even if I'd never be crazy enough to try one myself. You should totally go to the quilt show in Long Beach - unless you'd rather fly up here to go to the Sisters one... it's pretty spectactular.Rebelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12835352917180439099noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6518717340795257741.post-33497396776901200602008-03-19T14:51:00.000-07:002008-03-19T14:51:00.000-07:00I love it. Your signature square is lovely.

You know, there is a big quilt show in Long Beach CA this summer. I am thinking of going. I have yet to make my Hawaiian quilt that I've wanted to make since I saw one on Maui back in 1992. It was $500. If you've ever perused Hawaiian quilts, you know you would definitely need a huge flat work area just to draft and cut the elaborate appliqué and sew it to the top fabric.
(International Quilt Festival, July 25-27, 2008 www.quilts.com)Maghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15188106467998322964noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6518717340795257741.post-89595207084289390522008-03-19T14:09:00.000-07:002008-03-19T14:09:00.000-07:00thanks everyone - I'm glad it looks like the color...thanks everyone - I'm glad it looks like the colors are working well together.

zonda - I've actually considered that. I'll have to ask my boss if it's ok for me to borrow the conference room over the weekend

jovial - I hadn't heard that...in fact, I still haven't given much though to how or where I will affix it. I'll think about that.

melissa - I'm still a little embarrassed to let another quilter see my work up close.... someday maybe I'll treat myself to some professional quilting.Rebelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12835352917180439099noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6518717340795257741.post-30571324211280508152008-03-19T12:34:00.000-07:002008-03-19T12:34:00.000-07:00I agree with Trillian. I've read you should stitch it into the backing and quilt it on (so it can't be removed), but I've never done it.

Sometimes you have to bite the bullet and just vacuum. ;)jovaliquiltshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04658198685121310571noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6518717340795257741.post-42237764642655955702008-03-19T03:46:00.000-07:002008-03-19T03:46:00.000-07:00Nice looking quilt and label!
