A quilt I actually like

I told you guys that I loved this green quilt so much I almost kept it. Instead I stocked up on batiks at a Fabric Depot and started making one for myself. I actually finished the top up a little while ago... can't remember exactly when. I love love love the colors, and the pattern. I'm wishing I had made it just a little bigger. But it's okay as is.

It's in the quilting stage, I'm doing the same echo quilting I did with the green quilt. It's slow going, but I'm plugging away at it. Again, lesson learned - only long lines until I get my hands on a long arm quilt.

Oh, yeah, this is lovely! I love to look at quilts that use lots of scraps of the same color, they are both subtle and lively at the same time. This one glows.

That is gorgeous! I bet you went to Fabric Depot the same weekend I did to stalk up on batiks :)

Sorry I've been flaking - I've been keeping to myself the past couple of weeks. :(

Thanks Bezzie.

Jovial - yeah, I love that look too, which is why I buy ridiculous amounts of fabric.

Stacey - I can't remember if this is the sale when I ran into you or not. I've made a couple trips out there so far. ;) I haven't made it out to Twisted yet... still trying to get all settled in. Soon!

Hey, that looks great!

I wonder, did you by any chance have any assistance, say with transportation, when you were selecting the fabric for this quilt?

Thanks Batty.

And yes... my trip to the fabric store required the use of Pick-Up-Truck-5000 and M5K to help me haul the fabric home. =P
