Well, you held out for a while! Good for you! I use when needed, I still don't understand why people feel the need to chitchat on them while driving. Emergency's only...sigh!
Ah "Triangle" I had to think for a minute to remember that one. That's when Mulder kisses 1939 Scully and she punches him. Then later in the episode he tells her he loves her and she says "Oh brother." That's a great episode!!
Yeah, I held out as long as I could with the cell phone. I don't really like talking on the phone, and would much rather make plans in advance & just show up on time than the on-the-fly scheduling that people with cell phones like to do. But since I still have (I'm so ashamed) Dial-Up internet acess, it's nice to know people can call me if I'm online (which is always).
Yeah, I felt like I held out on the cell phone thing, and I've had mine for nearly 3 years. And I am totally one of those obnoxious cell phone addicts, which I suppose is why I held out for so long before giving in to my inherently annoying nature.
One thing I enjoy--you're programmed into my phone as "Rebel Cell", which is a lot like "Rebel Yell". Kind of neat, no?
Karin - I have the same feelings about cell phones, but 99% of my phone bill is calls to J. in SF now that we have the same plan all our calls are free. I got a Go-Phone so if I don't like it, I'm not stuck with a contract.
It is weird to have my purse/coat start ringing out of the blue!

You're joking. This is your first cell phone? Wow, that's really impressive.
Still don't understand the appeal of those things....

Wow. And I thought I held out! I've only had mine for 2 years. The Chinese made me buy it.
Still no cell phone!
BTW - I woke up ungodly early and caught the Nazi/Queen Anne episode of X-files and thought of you....

I still don't have one and find cell phone users to be annoying and sometimes dangerous.
But lately, in the the last year or so, I really want one. I can't explain it. I am ashamed.
Probably best I can't afford one.
Please blog more about your early encounters with your new cell phone.

That would be weird.
