I hope you find this long-winded guide helpful. Keep in mind that I'm just coming out of stage two culture shock where I hated just about everything. Thailand really is a beautiful & fascinating place, and no matter how well or how poorly prepared you are there will be awesome experiences and some horrid ones. Adopt a 'mai bpen lai' attitude and just roll with it.
