I like how it turned out. I had planned to do meander quilting, but after a few practice runs with scrap fabric I decided I wasn't ready yet. Meander quilting is a lot harder than it looks! Instead I quilted wavey lines. I think it looks okay.
I had put the label on before I started quilting, but I don't like how the quilting lines look going through it. Oh well... another lesson for the next quilt.
The backing is all one piece, and I made the binding from stash fabric. I'm excited to have another quilt I made myself, and to have made a tiny dent in my stash.

I absolutely love it!! So pink and perfect for spring! Great job!
oooh! puh-ritty!
It looks like pink lemonade, perfect title! The yellow really works well with the pink. Such a terrific quilt, and from your stash no less.
I know someone who pieces her labels into the back so they can't be removed, but they get covered with quilting and are harder to read.
Very nice! And a great name.
I'm not a big fan of meander quilting myself...it may be hard, but I always thought it looked sloppy. Take a gorgeous top and just doodle the quilting all over it. Bleh.
Fantastic! And the name is perfect!
Thanks everyone!
Jovial - my stash consists of a *lot* impulse/sale purchases! LOL. I think I'm going use a smaller label for the next quilt.
bezzie - I wasn't a huge fan of meander quilting at first, but now I really want to try it. Not on a really special quilt - but on a little one like this.
mmmm, pink lemonade! that quilt makes me thirsty. :)
I love it!
It is very pretty. A good job well done. Meander quilting is about all I can do and it took me a while to get to grips with it. Just takes practise. I still cannot do it though without moving my head in time with the needle. Drives my family mad - lol !
I love it too! Especially the name. I do like meandering quilting, I challenge myself as I do it...but um..er..always remember to lower your feed dogs..ask me how I know LOL! My last few have been just straight lines though...all depends on the quilt for me.
lol Andrea... I do a lot of full-body steering when I do free motion quilting, so I understand completely.
Zonda - I can't take credit for the name, M5K gave me the idea on the way to the quilt show. I'm good at remembering to lower my feed dogs - it's remembering to put them back up again that I have problems with!
Oh, well done! That went fast, too! Looks terrific.
This is so gorgeous! I would love to drink it with lots of ice...
