33x365?

Someone out in the blog-o-sphere decided that to honor his 40th birthday he would make a list of 365 people in his life and write 40 words about each person. The result is alternately touching, funny, and just... I don't know... very human. I was thinking about doing something similar - but there's no way I could limit myself to the 33 words representing my age. I don't think I could even do it in 40. But I still think it would be an interesting, and challenging, experience to even remember 365 people in my life.

I've already started jotting a few things down, but only have about a dozen people so far. This could end up being very challenging. But I think I could use a little more challenge in my life, and I'm always up for a little introspection. So this will be a blog project for me starting in the new year.

Anyone care to join me?

I've wondered whether I actually know 365 people.

I was pretty jazzed to make d's list, though.

M5K - you're famous!

Marissa - I am quite confident that you know, or have known, over the course of your life *well* over 365 people! Just think of all your clients... and all the people at the ranch... and london.... etc etc etc

I don't think I know 365 people but that number is arbitrary, you could just do as many as you can think of.
This has the potential of letting your blogstalkers in on a little too much of your life info. It's something to keep in mind.
For instance if I did it, it would be a parade of boyfriends and dope friends and then a huge dry spell after I married, with a smattering of work friends here and there.

yeah, that is something to think about, I'm not sure how much of my stuff I really want to put out there in cyberspace.... still, it would be an interesting exercise.

I was thinking about doing this too, and decided not enough time for another project. Then I got a copy of a magazine that noted the death of a 94 year old woman I came into with 29 years ago - for only 6 months.

Thinking back I recalled her introducing me to Monday red beans and rice (we were in Louisiana), and that she was a great comfort to me, across the country from home in my first semester of college.

If I DON'T do a 365, I won't really forget about her, but I'll certainly lose her name, maybe gloss over the fond recollection I just had, and possibly lose sight of her altogether.

So I'm reconsidering.

phineas - welcome to my blog!

Yeah, there are a lot of people who came into my life at various points and had an impact on me that I didn't really appreciate until much later. This would be a good way to acknowledge them.

What an idea! I certainly can think of 365 important people, but writing sentimental meaningful things doesn't come easily for me and I don't really want the challenge. I hope you do it though!
