something patriotic

Happy Independence Day everyone! As I've mentioned before, the 4th of July is my favorite holiday... but this year it's a little bittersweet as you know, it'll be my last in the US for a while. I'm really excited to go to Thailand, and I feel like now is the best time for me to go... but I also feel like the election in November will be an important moment in US History, and I would really like to be here for that.

I'm trying to think of something profound and patriotic to say here... and it's just not happening. I love this country, I just do. It's home...a big crazy dysfunctional home. ;) So tomorrow I'll drink some beer, eat a hot-dog or two, watch some fireworks and basically enjoy being an American. I hope you do the same!

You'll be gone for the young guy v. old guy showdown in November? Vote absentee and make sure you punch your chads all the way ;-)

Happy 4th of July!

My sister loves Thailand. She's been 4 times in the past 2 years and would love to move there. I'm sure you'll find it every bit as amazing an experience as you'd hoped.

I don't know what happened with me and the Fourth of July. I just treat it like a noisy Sunday.

Heres your profound patriotic thought for today- George Washington had huge hands and several people commented on that in their writings a that time.
